Chicago

Samuel and I at the bean in Chicago! He was such a trooper on our trip to the states. He did so well on the flights (such a relief!) and was so much fun to travel with. I love this little guy so much!

Maple sugar time!

While we were in the states we spent a morning visiting a farm which showed how maple syrup was made throughout history.

I have to say there were some pretty delicious aromas wafting our way during the tour - just thinking about it makes we want to whip up some pancakes right now!

Time to be a tourist

Before Samuel and I left London for our trip to the states Adrian took us in to central London for some good clean touristy fun! We walked around Covent Garden then went to Trafalgar Square and then from there to Buckingham Palace. It was a beautiful day - an 'I love London' sort of day. The perfect send off to make us miss London while we were gone which I think was exactly what Adrian was hoping for as we left him to jet off to the states.

A walk in the park

Right before our trip to Scotland our church had a weekend away for the whole church. 180 of us boarded buses, trains, and cars and vacated the concrete jungle for the lush countryside. It was a great time to be refreshed and refocused in the company of friends.
