Samuel's dedication

At the beginning of July we had a dedication ceremony at church to publicly dedicate Samuel and our parenting to God.  It was a really special day with lots of family and friends joining with us for the ceremony and picnic afterwards (which included an ice cream bar!).  Plus Samuel got to share the day with his best friend Maybelle:)!

The second to last picture shows Samuel with his godparents, Euan and Amanda and the last one is of   the family that could join us (minus Rachel and Lauren).

Respite

I had a few hours to myself this week as I tried out putting Samuel in a local creche (it came highly recommended by several of my friends - "life changing" one said:)). It was so strange to leave Samuel and I didn't really know what to do with myself! There were so many things I could do : errands, cleaning, etc, but friends kept telling me to use this time to do something relaxing and fun for me. So I took their advice and went to a cafe and read . . . uninterrupted!... such a luxury!

Canal boat holiday

We spent a long weekend in May on the Oxford Canals. It was so lovely! 3 days of floating through fields...

Thankfully Sammy likes his greens and so do I!
