The Diptych Project: two friends (once neighbors & now an ocean apart), one theme
(Top photo: Ann, Bottom photo: Evie)

Since we knew we were moving this month, we decided not to get a Christmas tree this year (so sad!), but I was able to put together our own little evergreen display.  I put several branches in a vase and decorated the branches with a few favorite ornaments and a strand of lights.  It is amazing how a strand of white lights just adds that touch of magic!

The picture above happened almost by chance.  I was photographing the branches and then Samuel started investigating the lights.  I of course only encouraged the exploring and viola this sweet moment happened.  I love the innocence of this picture- the soft, young hands and the pure white light.

Please visit Evie's blog to learn more about what inspired her photo.

You can see our first diptych here.

Oh and check out our adventure last year bringing our tree home:)!
