In the midst of moving, we had a very big event that we didn't want to get lost in the shuffle.
Samuel turned TWO!!!
Where has the time gone? Recently we have noticed how much our little baby has evolved in to a boy. A bright, increasingly articulate, funny, determined, energetic, and tender hearted boy. What an unbelievable joy to be his parents!
His celebration coincided with our first day in our new home. It was special to begin our time in this home with such a precious occasion. In the last couple of months Samuel has become very excited about trains and diggers (he is such a boy!) so that was definitely the theme of the gifts he received. It was fun to see him get so excited about his birthday this year and the joy he had receiving presents!
I made chocolate beet cupcakes for dessert and they were so delicious! The beets give the cake an velvety taste and I will definitely be making them again. The recipe I used was a David Lebovitz take on a Nigel Slater recipe.
2 Response to Cake time!
Ann, these photos are great. How rubbish are Sammy's god-parents though, yikes! Did you make his hat? You need to pin it with a how-to ;-)
:) We need to get a skype date going! I did make the hat. I've never pinned anything with a how-to before. Have you? That could be fun! x
