21 weeks!

Me at 21 weeks with our baby BOY (these were taken a couple of weeks ago).

Last weekend

Over the weekend we decided to head in to central London for the day (via a 30 minute bus ride). It was such a beautiful day and we wanted to get out and make the most of it. London sparkles on sunny days and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else!

We started the morning in St James park where the most embarrassing thing happened.... do you see the pond in the photo above? Well I took an unplanned dip in it! My water bottle fell in to the lake and the next thing I knew instead of just reaching for the bottle I had slipped in to the lake and was up to my waste in water. Adrian said there was a collective gasp around me. Lets just say it wasn't my most graceful moment and not the best start to a day out (I was SOPPING WET!), but it was still a fantastic day:)!

An afternoon Hampstead Heath

We absolutely love going to Hampstead Heath. It is a beautiful, enormous (790 acres), wild park right in London and thankfully it is only a bus ride (or long walk) away. Samuel loved running around the big open spaces, seeing the dogs, and watch the ducks. Oh and we also spotted a bunch of wild parakeets that live in the park! All in all a very fun afternoon.

Recovering...

We have had quite a few sick days recently.... abut 17 to be precise:( From stomach bugs to a cold that became a chest/sinus infection, we haven't been in top form. Pair that with someone not sleeping well - more like shockingly bad - and I've been in survival mode! Thankfully we seem to be coming out of the black hole. I've been taking antibiotics and after a few mornings of crying, Samuel is sleeping sooo much better now. I feel like a new woman!

Time away

Reunion of half the cousins! They are so sweet together and it is so wonderful to think of them growing up together. Lots of adventures to come!

Romantic getaway!

We got a night away - just the two of us!!! Actually we had 22 long hours away and it was wonderful! I have wanted to do something like this for a while but just wanted to make sure that Samuel would be okay with out us. And he was! My in laws kindly watched him and they said he asked for us twice and they told him the city we were in and he seemed satisfied with the answer:). I would definitely recommend a getaway- we enjoyed a walk, time in the pool/spa, good food, and I especially loved all the time we had to talk. It was like a months worth of dates in one day. I wonder if we could get another one in before our little peanut arrives!

Play dough!

We made play dough this week!

Ingredients:
3 c. flour
1.5 c salt
6 tsp cream of tartar
3 tbsp. oil
3 c. water
food coloring

Stir play dough continuously over low heat until the mixture becomes thicker and begins to form a ball. Take out of the pan and knead the food coloring in (I divided mine in to several balls so that we could have varied colors).

Store in an airtight container.

Have fun!

Brrr

We wrapped up warm today to meet up with a friend near Green Park. Warm drinks were had as well as some running around the park.

More importantly, how amazing is the hat he is wearing:)?! It was actually mine as a child and I've always referred to as the peanut hat. I could not believe my mom had saved it. I'll have to get my mom to send me a picture of me wearing the hat as a kiddo.

Today

It's a frosty but beautifully sunny day here in London. It makes me want to snuggle up and do something crafty. I think tonight I'll do some sewing as I still have a Christmas gift to finish up... Oops:)! Hot cocoa will definitely be on the agenda.

I am loving this counting song featuring Feist on Sesame Street

A gorgeous house tour
